ABOUT
Gavin Bermudez is an alternative rock singer-songwriter from San Francisco, California, and based in New York City. He began his musical journey at age 11 when he taught himself to play piano by ear and would later develop a love for rock and grunge, teaching himself guitar. His diverse musical influences create a unique sound that could be desribed as “Billy Joel meets The Smashing Pumpkins": Alternative rock spear-headed by prominent virtuosic piano parts with a cinematic flair that combine broodingess and optimism.
He is currently working on a variety of projects, including an upcoming album and an original two-act musical titled, “The Elephant.”
A student at NYU studying songwriting and contemporary music production, he released the album “Ghosts of the Top Bunk,” in 2023 and “Polaroid Hills” in 2025, both of which were written, recorded, and produced entirely by himself. Having performance experience in both music and theatre, Gavin has performed live on both coasts, both solo and with his band.
